Join us for an exclusive roundtable exploring the relationship between planning and public health, featuring insights from the Hertfordshire Business Board and the team behind the new Healthy and Safe Places Framework, developed in partnership with Prior + Partners.

The planning system has a critical role to play in shaping healthier communities, tackling health inequalities, and reducing long-term pressures on public services. But given that the places we live, work and move through shape around 60% of our health outcomes, what does it look like to genuinely embed health considerations into planning policy and placemaking?

The discussion will examine how local authorities, combined authorities, planners, developers and health partners can work together to create healthier, safer and more inclusive places. We will explore topics including healthy neighbourhoods, active travel, community infrastructure, housing quality, health inequalities and the growing shift towards prevention-led public policy.

This session will be particularly relevant for local authority leaders, planning professionals, public health teams, NHS Partners and others interested in the future of placemaking and preventative public services.

Date: 10 November
Time: 10:00 – 11:30
